Consume All Media! Adventures of Captain Marvel: “Chapter Ten: Doom Ship”

Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the ninth chapter of Adventures of Captain Marvel. This time, they continue with the tenth chapter.

RETCON! Once the safe is opened, one of Barnett’s men knocks them to the ground and gets shot instead.

...again.

Barnett still gets into the safe, but instead of finding the lens, he finds an intricately detailed map leading to the lens.

Turns out it’s still in the tomb back in Siam.

Billy fights Barnett as his man runs off with the map. After knocking Barnett out, he turns into Captain Marvel. He flies into the other guy and ties him up with his own belt. Barnett manages to get away.

Billy takes the map to the remaining expedition members, who decide to rip it into five equal pieces to keep anyone from having too much knowledge.

This very complicated map.

They get on a boat headed for Siam and immediately wind up in a typhoon. Captain Marvel flies a rope to shore and sets up a breeches buoy to help everyone get off the ship.

But The Scorpion (in full costume!) knocks out Betty, steals her purse, and leaves her on the ship.

Once everyone has settled in around a campfire on shore, Billy notices that Betty is missing and goes back to the ship to look for her.

Then the ship sinks. CLIFFHANGER!

...you know what? I’m not putting their pictures here this time.

Should you watch it, though?: There’s some fun action in this one and even Billy gets to throw some punches. Plus the sinking ship is a nice change of pace. Plus, you have the ridiculousness of the map and the fact that The Scorpion must have changed in and out of his costume very quickly during a typhoon. Delightful.
